Hi John,

I have never heard of the father making an appearance a the baby shower. It is okay for the father to be in attendance, but he doesn’t have to make a special appearance.

If you are having a co-ed shower, then you should definitely be there because the party is for both of you. But if the shower is just for her, then you do not have to be there.
