my daughter in law’s friend and family all live in NJ and we are in FL. She was afraid invites to people who could not attend would just look like asking for gifts. I wrote this little poem to include in the invites, and it was a hit:

We’re sad that you will miss the fun

At the shower for Jessica’s little one

So here is the date, and here is the hour,

Please think of Jessica during her shower

If you wish to send a toy,

Or little gift for our special boy.

Please send it to this address,

We promise we will do the rest!
