2 sisters having a baby shower together

by karen

(portage, in)

I have 2 daughters that are expecting. One in May and one in June. One lives near me and one lives 900 miles away . I want to give them both a shower. The question comes down to having a dual shower. Has this been a success in the past?

Yes, dual baby showers are tons of fun. 🙂 And you can put up great decorations for each. I’ve seen where people put some personalized items up (like Baby Lastname) and since they are your daughters if they have different last names you could make it feel like it was made for each of them seperately. I would check out www.creativebabydesigns.com they have some cute wreaths for decorations, cakes and if you want to make them personal for each of them they do that too. Also if you know if they are having a boy or girl, if there is one of each you could make each table either pink or blue. How much fun.

The bonus of a dual shower is you can invited tons of people but only have to pay for the decorations/rental space or cleaning of your house once. good luck

Yes, dual baby showers are just fine

Dual baby showers are actually pretty common among sisters, friends, cousins, co-workers, etc. who are expecting around the same time.

I think both of your daughters are still early enough in the pregnancy that traveling won’t affect them, so that’s good. The only issue I see is deciding which one will make the trip.

In terms of the party itself, they will both have to agree on a theme or color scheme for the decorations, cake, etc. And you will have to put together a dual baby shower invitation. Make sure you include both of your daughters’ registry information in the invite.

The rest of your planning should be pretty easy.
