Yes, he should take a gift. He can either get something for the baby, something for either one of the parents, or a joint gift for both parents. He has a lot of options to choose from. Guys are usually not into picking out baby shower gifts, so he may be more comfortable shopping for something for the parents. Something as simple as a gift certificate to the movies or their favorite restaurant would be a nice gesture. If he does want to get something for the baby, he can get some cute baby sports stuff at any sporting goods store. They carry clothing, baseball caps and sneakers for newborns, infants and toddlers.
