baby shower for 2nd baby and single mom

my younger sister had her first baby when she was 17. She didn’t have a baby shower the first time. She’s now 25 and is pregnant again, she is single and the neither of the fathers of either children is involved with their lives. She doesn’t have much, hardly even a job. She’s had a pretty rough life. Is it appropriate to throw her a baby shower for the 2nd baby? Especially since she never had one the 1st time around?
