A lot of people would say no to this, but I actually think it’s a great idea. I just posted a blog about this a couple of weeks ago, because someone else asked me the same question.

I think the new parents should be appreciative of whatever gift they receive, including cash. Trust me, even though some of the guests might think it’s poor taste, the parents will absolutely love a cash gift. They can use it for whatever they want. And even though it is convenient to have a lot of baby stuff on hand, it’s also very convenient to have cash to work with as well.
