Baby shower money gift

by Nicole

(Philadelphia, PA)

Is it okay to give money as a baby shower gift? The mom’s registry is at Babies R Us, but I don’t live anywhere near one. I could have something delivered but the party is this Saturday. I would probably have to pay for express shipping. Can I just give her money in a card instead?

BabiesRUs is online, like most everywhere. You can just order something from her registry and have it delivered. 🙂

Baby shower gift card

Instead of money, give her a greeting card and gift card. Lots of supermarkets and convenient stores like CVS and Rite Aid sell gift cards to other stores. If you cannot find a Babies R Us gift card anywhere, give her a Visa gift card and she can use it anywhere.

Money as baby shower gift

by: Sonya

I think money is a bit impersonal for a baby shower gift. If you don’t live near the store, then just get her something from somewhere else. You don’t have to get something from the registry. And chances are other department stores will carry the same stuff as Babies R Us. So you can still get something she asked for, but just from another store.
