how to make baby bottle favors

Baby
bottle favors are a cute gift idea for your guests. They are easy to
make, very creative, and there’s a treat inside for everyone.

Here’s what you will need:

  • 1 roll of lifesavers
  • Plain cardboard paper, any color
  • 1 pack of individually wrapped white lifesavers
  • Thin ribbon, any color
  • 1 small tube of white cake icing
  • Glue stick
  • 1 box of Good n Plenty candy

Here are the instructions for making baby bottle
favors:

Cut the cardboard paper so that it is the same height as the
roll of lifesavers. It should be wide enough to wrap around the candy
one time. Apply glue to one side of the paper, and stick it to the
roll.

Use the cake icing to create a thin film on the top of the
roll.

Unwrap one of the white lifesavers, and firmly attach it to
the icing. Allow the icing to set for a few seconds.

Use the cake icing again to fill the hole of the white
lifesaver.

While the icing is still soft, take a white good n plenty
candy and push it into the hole.

If some of the icing pours out over the top of the lifesaver,
use a plastic knife to remove it.

Again, let the icing set for a few seconds to become firm.

Cut a small piece of your ribbon and tie it around the roll of
lifesavers, directly under the white lifesaver at the top.

As an option, you can use a small pair of scissors to gently
scrape the ribbon, which will cause it to curl.

A few tips…

*When choosing a paper and ribbon color, chose ones that match
your theme. For example, for the rubber ducky theme, you can use yellow
paper and a red ribbon. You can also use white paper with red ribbon on
some bottles, and yellow ribbon on the others.

*You can use regular printer paper instead of cardboard, as it
may be easier to work with. However, the printer paper will be a bit
transparent, and the lifesaver wrapper will be visible. Using cardboard
will prevent this.
