Should the father make an apperance

My wife thinks that it is custom for the male to show up and make an appearance for the shower but everyone i talk to says that they have never heard of that.... what do you think?

No, unless this is a co-ed shower

Hi John,

I have never heard of the father making an appearance a the baby shower. It is okay for the father to be in attendance, but he doesn't have to make a special appearance.

If you are having a co-ed shower, then you should definitely be there because the party is for both of you. But if the shower is just for her, then you do not have to be there.
