Nursery baby shower theme

If you know the decor of the nursery, you could match the baby shower theme to that. Say, for instance, the baby's room is decorated in butterflies, then use the colors in the nursery as your color scheme and purchase your table linens, or if using, your paper goods, balloons, etc.

Purchase butterflies at the craft store in the cake decorating department{food safe} and use them to decorate your cake with. You can also bake a butterfly shaped cake. If you don't have a butterfly shaped pan, look on the computer and you can probably find instructions on how to cut the cake into a butterfly shape. If you have a floral centerpiece, add butterflies to that.

When purchasing the invitations, look for ones with butterflies, or better yet, make your own using the computer.

For the favors, bake butterfly shaped cookies, decorate with royal icing and wrap in cellophane bags tied with a pretty ribbon.
