My daughter-in-law's Ex mother-in-law showed up for her baby shower and I definitely felt crowded as the baby's Grandma. I do not feel she had any right to be there. She is not the baby's grandma. The true Grandmother's feelings should have been a major concern before inviting her.

That is entirely up to youNEW by: Sonya
Is your mother-in-law the grandmother of the new baby? If she is, then I would definitely invite her.
If the baby is from a new marriage/relationship, then it's not necessary to invite her, but you certainly can if you want.
There's no proper etiquette to follow here, just make the decision based on what you are comfortable with.
