A co-worker had a baby shower a few weeks ago that was given to her by her family which I was invited to and attended. She is now having a shower at work and I am invited again to this shower. Am I obligated to attend this shower and buy another gift?

Go to the shower but don't buy another gift

Hi Susan,

I would attend the baby shower at work just because it would be convenient for you to go (assuming the shower will be on premises). But, you are certainly not expected to buy 2 gifts. You already bought 1 and that is enough. And, she should not be expecting you to purchase another gift for her.

If you decide not to go to the shower at work, that is your choice as you are not obligated to go. But if I were in your position, I would attend just to be courteous.
