Does MOM TO BE have to attend

My daughter & her husband are expecting their 1st child. His coworkers are having a baby shower for him at work. My daughter does not know any of the people, does she need to attend?

No, she doesn't have to

This baby shower is for the dad, not the mom. So the mom does not have to go if she doesn't want to. But, if she does want to go, I think that would be fine too. I would assume that his co-workers would not mind either way if your daughter attends or not. Maybe in this case, the husband should just ask his co-workers if they want her to attend. I'm sure they won't say no. But, if it's a matter of her feeling uncomfortable about going, she's not obligated.
