Baby Shower for Out of State couple

Son and Daughter n Law live out of state and I am having a baby shower for them. I would like guests to give gift cards or pre purchase the gifts so they don't have to travel back with them. How should we word this on the invitation?

I would just add a note that says something like:

Instead of bringing gifts to the baby shower, please send your gifts directly to the new mom and dad's home at:
Address

Or, if you would prefer all gift cards, you could ask for donations from each guest and buy just one gift card for the amount of donations that you receive, or simply register for only gift cards. I have seen this done before and it worked out very well.
